This book is about a boy named Eragon who has found a blue stone. when the blue stone hatches and turns out to be a dragon egg. Eragon is in more trouble than he realizes. But after the only home he has ever known is destroyed and his uncle is killed Eragon decides to run away with the help of the baby dragon who he named Saphira to become a Dragon Rider.
